Mobile World Congress
There are few conferences or exhibitions that rival the size or stature of the four-day GSMA Mobile World Congress, held annually in Barcelona. With more than 2,400 of the world’s leading technology companies participating, and more than 107,000 visitors attending from 205 countries and territories, organiser GSMA needed to partner with technology and digital content suppliers that can handle large-scale projects, yet still focus on the finer details.
Supplying Mobile World Congress brings a number of technology and logistical challenges, but with more than 15 years’ experience at the event, we are well-equipped to handle even the most demanding client projects. Pre-production planning begins up to six months before the show, with our account managers working with stand designers and project managers on how to integrate interactive technology solutions into their stands. Our content development team work with brands to ascertain their objectives, and how we can use our technology to help them meet them. Developers then set to work creating content, keeping our clients abreast of the progress every step of the way.
As the show draws closer, we assign our own project managers and crew to each area, as well as arranging transport to get all the technology to the Fira Gran Via venue in a way that delivers the best value for our clients. Once on site, we normally have a 15-day build period and, operating out of two technical resource centres, we’re able to respond to customer queries as quickly as possible, providing world-class technical services and support.
For Mobile World Congress, DBpixelhouse supplied more customers than ever before, with over 50 stands ranging from 5M2 to 1800M2, across eight halls in Fira Gran Via. In addition to increasing our customer base at the show, we delivered outstanding support, with our post-show survey showing an average customer satisfaction rate of 95%.
Our clients included stand designers, creative agencies and production companies, and we also supplied technology and digital content direct to brands. Popular technical solutions included LED walls, 4K screens, augmented reality, video walls made up of high-definition screens, animated screen content and IT technology. For many stands, we provided the full range of custom content, AV technology and production services; the UK Department for Industry and Trade stand, which used animated screen content and a 12 x 4 video wall from DBpixelhouse, is a great example of this.
“With the world’s leading technology brands exhibiting at Mobile World Congress, it’s critical that we offer recommended suppliers that can meet their demanding requirements, and DBpixelhouse have the experience, equipment and expertise to fit our exhibitors’ needs. DB’s on-site support infrastructure is second-to-none, with every aspect of the build, operation and de-rig of the show being meticulously planned. There are few companies in the same league as DBpixelhouse, when it comes to the ability to deliver multiple large-scale installations simultaneously.”
