Oil and gas data specialists, OPEX Group, were keen to boost visitor engagement on their exhibition stand at Offshore Europe 2019. Working directly with the end client, DBpixelhouse were given a brief to create an innovative way of presenting OPEX’s services, whilst educating the user in a fun and intuitive way. OPEX were clear with their instructions: ‘we need something to attract people to our space, keep them there for longer, enhance the user’s understanding of what we do and be a fun experience which users will remember long after the event.’
Following several brainstorming sessions with OPEX’s marketing team, we opted for a touchscreen pair and match game which fully complied to OPEX’s brand guidelines. Users would have 60 seconds to match as many pairs related to their services as they could. People playing the game were encouraged to submit their contact details, to appear on the game’s leader board—with several players returning on numerous occasions, attempting to improve their score.
Being the first time OPEX had used such an interactive digital experience on their exhibition stand, they were impressed with the effect it had on footfall during the event. The pair and match game collected valuable leads for OPEX to follow up on after the event. The game was so well received by both the OPEX Group and their customers, that they now have a version of the game permanently installed at their Aberdeen Digital Collaboration Centre.
“The interactive pairs game attracted new people to our stand and helped to communicate the breadth of our services in a fun and memorable way. The project was expertly handled from start to finish and the team at DBpixelhouse did a great job of understanding our brand and bringing it to life.”
