Wimbledon Championships is one of the 4 major Grand Slam Tennis events of the calendar year. Over the course of the two week event, over 500,000 visitors will attend with a host of temporary structures built to cater for the huge audiences. Detail ltd required an experienced Audio visual company to service their needs across two sites. The Lawn Area which is situated across the road in Wimbledon Cricket club and the Rosewater Pavillion inside the ground. Both structures required distribution of the TV signal throughout, fully zonable controlled pa systems and dedicated AV support throughout the two weeks including live entertainment acts.
DBpixelhouse were awarded the contract to support the event after demonstrating superior experience, latest innovative technology solutions and huge passion for the event. Work commenced over a four week period in June laying over 10 Kilometres of cable, installing over 80 screens of various sizes including the outdoor chill out utilising our large outdoor 3.9mm led display. Audio was also key to the installation laying over 5km speaker cable and installing 70 speakers, this was a fully digital solution controlled by an iPad.
The solution we provided for video distribution enabled the client to showcase the live tennis and flexibility to watch alterative channels of entertainment and also showcase marketing material.
Our fully suited and booted technician supported the event throughout the two weeks catering for all our clients’ needs from supporting the live event entertainment, adjusting sound levels throughout the days and assisting with any other AV requests.
Working to the client’s brief and budget, we deployed a fully digital experience for Detail to support their clients’ needs. With a dedicated Account Manager throughout the project and audio and video experts to install and support the event.
Months of planning, site visits and a successful event delivery, our client was delighted with the end product, and we look forward to partnering on further events and returning to Wimbledon next year.
